About the Event
Sue is a well-known expert on everything to do with growing hardy geraniums. She has been growing them for 25 years and is holder of the National Collection of Geranium sylvaticum & renardii forms, cultivars & hybrids. She is an active member of the Cottage Garden Society and has been involved in the creation of their displays at the NEC for Gardeners’ World Live Show and for the RHS Tatton show. Although Sue describes herself as an avid amateur gardener, she has completed RHS courses at Didsbury College and at Reaseheath. She likes to bring plants to her talks.
Sue will talk about the various types of hardy geraniums and their geographical origins; a geranium for every type of location in the garden; the variety of leaf shape and colour; recommendations for the best plants to grow, and which are over-enthusiastic seeders or spreaders.
