Description
From the first tantalizing glimpse of the garden through the tall Corsican pines that so inspired Edward Elgar, to the magnificent borders that surround the walled garden and the magnolia-fringed Horse Pool, through to the Melon Yard with its olives and delicious pineapple-scented flowers, Spetchley is full of surprises.
It’s a garden of contrasts, where formal clipped hedges, rose beds and sweeping lawn meet tumbling herbaceous borders and walls festooned with rampant climbers, and where winding paths lead you from the quintessentially English to the unmistakably Mediterranean.
(If required there are 2 mobility scooters available to hire by prior arrangement, for £10.00 per scooter per half day. They can be hired by telephoning the Welcome Centre on 01905 345 106 and will be ready for your arrival.
Directions
Take the A44 out of Worcester towards Stratford-Upon-Avon. Shortly after crossing over the M5, you will pass under a white footbridge and the Car Park entrance to the Gardens is on the right.
